The Summerhill – what’s happening.

The Summerhill is delighted to welcome the following new staff to its community: Adena Waffle, General Manager; Tom Carpenter, Building Services Manager; Becky Toppings, Recreation Manager; and Jane Ritchie, Resident Services Manager.

Adena Waffle, General Manager
Armed with a quick wit, a twinkle in her eye, a can-do attitude, and a passion for working with seniors and their families, this is our General Manager. With her many years of experience working in the seniors’ housing industry, she is a great and natural fit to be General Manager at The Summerhill.

Tom Carpenter, Building Services Manager
Tom is the go-to man when you need help. Having dipped his fingers in almost every pot in the construction industry (electrical, building, managerial, and so on), Tom is settled in the position to manage the maintenance at The Summerhill. Whether it’s a broken blind or clogged drain, Tom will fix your problem in the wink of an eye.

Becky Toppings, Recreation Manager
Becky is thrilled to be the new Recreation Manager at The Summerhill. After working at various retirement residences, adult daycare centers and care homes throughout the Lower Mainland, she feels at home in The Summerhill community. An energetic and enthusiastic person, Becky will be organizing everything from exciting activities to relaxing retreats for all of our residents.

Jane Ritchie, Resident Services Manager
Want to know all about The Summerhill or got a problem to be solved, call Jane. Like our other staff, Jane has worked with seniors and their families for a lot of years and loves it. Jane has lived on the North Shore for many years, so there’s not much she doesn’t know about. Like we said, need some information, call Jane.
